A Hobart chicken restaurant is facing significant losses after allegedly being targeted by two young burglars.
Tasty Korea Chicken on Elizabeth Street was reported broken into around 5am on Tuesday morning, with the offenders using a window to gain entry.
The business believes the teenage thieves stole $600 in cash and two iPads used for the restaurant’s point-of-sale system.
“Unfortunately, crime has been increasing in our area … and now it has affected us directly,” the business said.
“… despite the police’s relentless efforts day and night, the robbers continue to run rampant.”
The restaurant shared images of the alleged offenders dressed in hoodies in an attempt to shield their faces, describing the pair as two males aged between 18 to 22-years-old.
One of the suspects has a tattoo next to the thumb on his left hand, the business said.
“If anyone recognises these individuals, please contact us or the police immediately,” they said.
“Let’s work together to keep our community safe.”
Tasmania Police have confirmed an investigation is underway and are asking anyone with information to contacted them or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
