Two 14-year-old girls have turned themselves in to police after an alleged group assault at a Hobart shopping centre that left a man with serious head injuries and in hospital this week.
The teens came forward to officers at the Glenorchy Police Station following the incident at Northgate in Hobart’s northern suburbs on Tuesday.
Both girls have been charged with assault under the criminal code, according to police.
They join four boys, aged 14 and 15, who were arrested on Wednesday in connection with the assault and later released on bail.
Detective Inspector Mark Burke confirmed that all those involved in the alleged attack have now been charged.

The 33-year-old victim remains in a stable condition at the Royal Hobart Hospital and is receiving treatment for serious head injuries.
Pulse understands the man has a bleed on his brain.
