A teenager has been charged after allegedly performing burnouts near a funeral home in Spreyton this afternoon.
Police received multiple Triple Zero (000) calls around 3pm on Friday reporting vehicles doing burnouts and hooning near Vincent Funeral Home on Stony Rise Road.
Officers responding to the scene attempted to intercept a white Ford Falcon with no plates, believed to be involved in the hooning incident.
The vehicle the allegedly evaded police through Spreyton before officers tracked it down to an address in Acacia Hills.
The suspected driver, an 18-year-old from Lower Beulah, was arrested at the scene and taken to Devonport Police Station.
The P-plate driver has been charged with evading police, reckless driving and other traffic offences.
He was granted bail and will appear in the Devonport Magistrates Court in April.
