A teenager has been injured after a gun was fired through the front window of a Glenorchy home.
The alleged incident happened about 8:50pm on Wednesday night at a property on Grenfell Place.
The young person was hit by fragments and taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Two other people were home at the time but were not physically injured.
Detectives from the Glenorchy Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) are investigating the shooting and calling for anyone with information to come forward.

Police are particularly interested in CCTV or dashcam footage from Grenfell Place that may show a vehicle being driven suspiciously or a person holding a firearm.
“Detectives believe this is an isolated incident involving parties known to each other and wish to reassure people there is no threat to the wider community,” a police spokesperson said.
“Anyone with information can contact police on 131 444 or report anonymously to Crime Stoppers.”
