Two teenagers have been charged over the alleged shooting of a man in Rokeby this week.
Police were called to Hart Place around 8:30pm on Tuesday after reports a man in his 30s had been shot in the leg.
A 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man were arrested at separate locations in southern Tasmania on Wednesday afternoon.
The pair have been charged with attempted aggravated carjacking, aggravated armed robbery and wounding.
The 18-year-old has also been charged with breaching a police family violence order.
Police conducted several searches and seized four firearms, one of which they allege was used in the shooting.
“Police intend to lay charges against other individuals in respect to the other three firearms,” police said in a statement.
Investigators began searching the area after the two young males fled on foot towards Burtonia Street following the incident.
A crime scene was also declared.
Both accused appeared jointly in the Hobart Magistrates Court on Thursday.
Police said it was “an isolated, targeted incident” and initial inquiries suggested the broader community was not at risk.
The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries where he remains.
