Two 14-year-old boys have been charged in connection with a series of alleged armed robberies at Launceston businesses this month.
Police allege that one of the teenagers entered two Bathurst Street businesses on Wednesday afternoon armed with a knife and stole alcohol.
He has been charged with multiple counts of aggravated armed robbery and armed robbery.
Investigators have also charged the same teen with additional robbery offences relating to similar incidents at local businesses on March 9 and March 12.
The second teenager, who allegedly accompanied the first youth during one of Wednesday’s incidents, faces a single charge of aggravated armed robbery.
The first teen was detained and appeared before the Youth Justice Division of the Launceston Magistrates Court on Thursday, while the second will appear in court at a later date.
Police said no physical injuries were reported during either incident.
