A high-end bar and restaurant located at Hobart’s Brooke Street Pier has announced, with “great sadness”, that they will be closing their doors.
The Glass House will shut “for the last time” this week, marking the end of an eight-year journey since its opening in 2015.

The restaurant boasts a cocktail bar, private function room and 120-seat restaurant offering a Japanese-inspired menu prepared with exclusively fresh Tasmanian ingredients.
“We’d like to thank all our customers who have frequented The Glass House over the years, and all our suppliers and producers who have kept us stocked up with all the wonderful products Tasmania has to offer,” the restaurant wrote online.
The restaurant’s closure is scheduled for Thursday night.
