The Kid Laroi has told a crowd of close to 5,000 that Hobart has become one of his favourite places to play.
During his concert at MyStateBank Arena on Wednesday, the hip hop artist said he has wanted to return to the island since his last show two years ago.
“The last time I came down here, in 2022, I was like ‘we kinda gotta go to Hobart every tour we come’,” he said.
“Because I remember it being one of the craziest energy shows that we had all tour.”
“Everyone’s always like, ‘ah, Hobart, so far away, so small’, but I think Hobart’s become one of my favourites.”
He said he’s “been excited ever since” management told him ‘The First Time Tour’ would make a stop in the Tasmanian capital.
“When they told us that we were playing here … I was like, let’s f—–g go, I’m so excited,” he said.
His trip to Tasmania lasted all of seven hours, having touched down at Hobart Airport in his private jet around 2:15pm on Wednesday.
He took off for Melbourne shortly after the show finished at 9:43pm.
