Music lovers from across Tasmania have braved wet weather to attend Hobart’s inaugural Night At The Point concert series on the Wrest Point lawns in Sandy Bay.

The three-day event kicked off on Friday night with INXS and Noiseworks legend Jon Stevens performing to crowds donning ponchos to shield against the rain.

Electronic group PNAU took to the stage on Saturday night with support from Tasmanian band Sumner, while Delta Goodrem is set to close the series tonight with support from Dami Im.

“I’m beyond excited to be returning to Hobart after 20 years – and what a way to come back,” Goodrem said ahead of her performance.

“Performing at Night at the Point, surrounded by the energy of this incredible city and its people, is really special.”

The event, overlooking the River Derwent, is the first of its kind in Hobart and follows successful ‘Night at the’ series in Sydney and Brisbane.

Organiser Cameron Coghlan, Co-founder of Second Sunday Co, said the team was thrilled to bring the concept to Tasmania.

“With its striking waterfront setting, Wrest Point offers the perfect backdrop for unforgettable nights of musical excellence and nostalgia,” Coghlan said.
