Northern Tasmania’s Don River Railway is getting back on track following a devastating fire in April, with TasRail donating three new locomotives to the popular tourist attraction.

2111 (Z2), 2100 (ZP1) and 2128 (ZB14) all safely arrived at their new home on Thursday thanks to the help of TasRail team members, Cranes Combined, Hi-Haul Transport, Gradco and Transport Tasmania.

Volunteers at the railway will now restore the donated locomotives, sharing in a post on Facebook that they “couldn’t be happier”.
