A three-metre shark has been spotted near a popular tourist location on Bruny Island, prompting a warning from Tasmania Police.
The shark was sighted near the boat ramp at Bruny Island Cruises in Adventure Bay on Wednesday morning.

Police issued the warning at 10:40am, advising beachgoers of the reported sighting.
Tasmanian waters are home to several shark species, including great white, sevengill and bronze whaler sharks.
The species of shark has not been confirmed.
