Three youths have been charged following an alleged assault at the Rosny Park Bus Mall that left a 19-year-old man hospitalised.
The incident occurred around 10:15pm on Friday night, with the victim sustaining non-life-threatening injuries before being transported to the Royal Hobart Hospital for treatment.
Police have charged three teenagers aged 15, 16, and 17 with assault in connection with the incident.
Acting Inspector Andrew Morton condemned the violence, saying such behaviour would not be tolerated in public spaces.
“Everyone has the right to be safe in our public places and police will not tolerate violence,” Morton said.

Authorities are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with footage of the incident to come forward as the investigation continues.
Police are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who may have captured phone or dashcam footage of the assault.
