Traffic blocked on Tasman Bridge after truck towing boat gets stuck

Earlier: City-bound traffic on the Tasman Bridge has come to a standstill this afternoon after a truck towing a boat became “stuck” – according to police.

The truck is currently blocking traffic just before the bend on the western end of the bridge, underneath the Domain Highway overpass.

Police are urging motorists to take an alternate route or anticipate delays until the scene is cleared.

Updated 3:30pm, Tuesday February 11: Police say the bridge has now been cleared.
