Tasmania Police have issued a stern warning after three individuals were spotted allegedly scaling an elevated walkway in the Hobart CBD.
The incident occurred at 4:52pm on Wednesday when police received reports of people perched atop the walkway connecting the Royal Hobart Hospital to the Argyle Street carpark.
Officers responded to the scene, but the three individuals had already fled the area before police arrived.
“Falls from height pose a significant risk of severe injury or death,” police said in a statement.

“Tasmania Police strongly discourages this behaviour as it is both dangerous and unlawful.”
The elevated walkway, which provides an enclosed connection between the hospital building and the multi-storey carpark, sits multiple storeys above street level.

While no injuries were reported, police say such behaviour poses a risk to both those involved and potentially to people below.
