A man has died in hospital after his truck crashed through a barrier and into a popular skate park in Launceston this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Bathurst Street around 12:15pm after reports that a truck had left the road and driven into Royal Park Skate Park.

The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was rushed to hospital but later died from his injuries.
Police are now investigating whether a medical episode may have caused the accident.
Nobody inside the park was injured during the crash.
Authorities have cordoned off the scene and remain on site as investigations continue.
