During a search of the vehicle, police located and seized an imitation firearm.

Tasmania Police confirmed no members of the public were physically injured or threatened during the incident.
“The men remain in custody assisting police,” a spokesperson said.

“Investigations are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000,” the spokesperson said.
