The crew behind Tasmania’s Uni Revue has left a cheeky parting gift at Premier Jeremy Rockliff’s Devonport office.

Members of the Old Nick Company’s Uni Revue 2026, titled ROCKLIFFMAN, transformed the premier’s office overnight into a mock version of the planned Macquarie Point stadium.

Set designer Morgan Steven asked Rockliff for permission in person when the premier attended the show with his family.

Cast members hung “Stadium” signage in front of the office door, along with a “Lib, Laugh, Love” faux poster and a “Gate 69” banner featuring handwritten messages from the cast.

The stunt came after the show’s Devonport season was almost completely sold out.

Rockliff took to social media on Sunday afternoon after checking out the new additions to his office himself.

“As office renos go, think this takes the cake. Very well done to the culprits,” he said.

ROCKLIFFMAN is a satire about the rise, fall and rise again of what the Old Nick Company describes as “Tasmania’s biggest rock n roll stadium spectacular.”

The show takes aim at political ambition, legacy and the ongoing debate around the Macquarie Point stadium project.

It features power ballads, political chaos and iconic rock tropes cranked up to stadium volume.

The production is directed by Kristy Baker, with choreography by Ash Boxhall, musical direction by Eric Amani and vocal direction by Jessica Muir.

Old Nick’s Uni Revue is Australia’s longest-running revue and is performed each year.
