A breath test revealed a blood alcohol reading of 0.147, nearly three time the legal limit.
He was immediately disqualified for 12 months.
Despite the driving ban, officers caught the same man driving the same unregistered truck on the South Arm Highway on Friday.
Another breath test allegedly showed him twice the legal limit.
He was arrested and held in custody to appear in court.
