A single-vehicle incident has resulted in a car catching fire near a Hobart rural intersection, causing traffic disruptions but no reported injuries.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Pelverata Road and Pioneer Road in Kaoota, south of Hobart.

Police are currently on scene managing the situation, with the road completely blocked to all traffic while emergency services respond.
Eyewitness photos shared with Pulse show the vehicle engulfed in flames after apparently leaving the roadway near a large embankment.
