Swimmers and boaters on the Tasman Peninsula have been warned to be on the lookout for a large great white shark, reportedly lurking just off the coast.
Tasmania Police issued the alert on Thursday evening, saying the 5-metre shark was spotted around 250 metres from the shore of Pirates Bay at Eaglehawk Neck.
