Tasmanian basketball fans have today received confirmation that Will Magnay will return to the JackJumpers for the 2025/26 NBL season.
The talented centre is set to arrive back in Tasmania this week following his NBA Summer League campaign.
The team says Magnay impressed during his time with the Memphis Grizzlies and is now ready to slot into the JackJumpers’ pre-season training program.
“Summer League was an amazing and really valuable opportunity for me; I loved the experience. But I’m now excited to get home and get after it with the new group,” Magnay said.

“I’m excited about the guys that we’ve got coming in this season.”
“I think it can be a really, strong, competitive group and I can’t wait to lock in with them and prepare for another season in Tassie.”

There won’t be much time for Magnay to ease in, with plans to join the JackJumpers’ mini-camp on day three, before heading into Australian Boomers preparations for the FIBA Asia Cup.
JackJumpers General Manager of Basketball Darren Smith praised Magnay’s form overseas.
“It’s an incredible opportunity to play with and against some of the best talent in the world,” he said. “Will put in some great performances over there.”
“We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome him back to Tasmania and to have him as a crucial part of our team this season.”
The JackJumpers will open their season against Melbourne United on Thursday, September 18.
