A woman remains in a serious condition after the car she was travelling in left the road and crashed into trees in Tasmania’s north-west on Friday night.
Emergency services were called to Pages Road at Moorleah, near the intersection with Cryans Road, following reports of the crash just before midnight on June 14.
Police said a grey 2004 Holden Calais sedan was heading east when it veered off the road and hit trees. Three people were in the car at the time.
A 26-year-old female passenger suffered serious head injuries. She was taken by ambulance to North West Regional Hospital before being flown to the Royal Hobart Hospital, where she remains in a serious condition.
The 44-year-old male driver and a 10-year-old child also in the vehicle were not injured.
Police believe no other vehicles were involved and have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
They are urging anyone who saw the crash, the vehicle in the area at the time or who has information to come forward.
