A former Central Highlands Council employee has been sentenced to 18 months of home detention after she defrauded the council of over $100,000.
As reported by ABC Radio, Kasey Marie Bryant committed the offences between 2012 and 2020, admitting to charges of fraud and computer misuse.

It’s understood she bought around $133,000 of personal items, including household goods, using the council’s money.
She has since been forced to pay all the money back and complete 210 hours of community service.
Her husband pleaded guilty to 6 counts of fraud. He has been sentenced to 6 months prison, wholly suspended.
