The world’s largest aluminium sailing yacht has docked in Hobart, turning heads with its impressive size and sleek design.
Measuring 81 metres in length, the Sea Eagle II is a contemporary flybridge schooner built by renowned Dutch shipyard Royal Huisman.
It not only holds the title for being the biggest aluminium sailing yacht but also ranks among the top ten largest sailing yachts globally.
The largest standard sailing vessel in the world, Koru, measures 127 metres, features multiple decks and pools and is owned by Amazon’s Jeff Bezos.
Sea Eagle II was commissioned by Taiwanese businessman and philanthropist Dr Samuel Yin.
It offers a luxurious retreat for up to 12 guests in six well-appointed staterooms, including a lavish master suite, each with en-suite bathrooms.
The yacht also boasts ample space for a crew of 13.
The yacht features an expansive sundeck, al fresco dining spaces and a beach club at the stern, complete with a cocktail bar and an authentic Italian wood-fired pizzeria.
A variety of water toys, including jet skis, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards are also available on board.
According to Burgess Yachts, the Sea Eagle II is available for charter in the South Pacific and Australia for a weekly rate ranging from €550,000 to €650,000 (approximately AUD$890,000 to $1,050,000).
