A Wynyard woman has described how she “nearly had a heart attack” upon discovering she had won almost $900,000 in TattsLotto.
The north-west local scooped $884,118.73 in last Saturday’s draw but remained oblivious to her good fortune for about five days.
“I heard they still hadn’t found the winner and I told my family they were looking for a winner and asked if they had a ticket,” she said.
“Then I saw on Facebook that it was a registered ticket and they’d been trying to contact this winner.”
The anonymous winner said this was when the penny finally dropped.
“I remembered I had a ticket and all these missed calls from a number I didn’t recognise,” she said.
“So I got my ticket and checked it. I squealed! I nearly had a heart attack. I was going to vomit before.”
Her winning numbers were 13, 11, 37, 12, 3 and 6, with supplementary numbers 44 and 2.
The woman revealed she plays the same numbers “every time” and has been “using them for years”.
“But I have no idea why I chose them,” she admitted, sharing that a holiday and new car would soon be on the cards.
