A 20-year-old man has been extradited from Victoria to Tasmania to face serious sexual abuse charges over alleged offences dating back three years.
The young man was arrested by Victoria Police on Monday on a warrant issued by Tasmania Police.

He is facing two counts of rape and one count of indecent assault for the incidents that allegedly occurred in 2022.
He will appear in a Launceston Youth Justice Court on Thursday after being remanded in custody.
Tasmania Police’s Family and Sex Crimes Division coordinated the cross-border arrest as part of the investigation into the historical allegations.
