Two Hobart kids, both just 12-years-old, will spend the night in custody after they allegedly assaulted and robbed a teenager in Hobart’s Elizabeth Street bus mall.
Police accuse the two children of approaching another young person – who was seated at a bus stop – and stealing their property around 1pm on Friday afternoon.

They then allegedly assaulted the victim before leaving the area.
It is believed they boarded a Metro bus, which took them across the Tasman Bridge, accompanied by a group of youths.
“All the youths are known to one another,” Police say.
“A short time later two of the youths were apprehended by Police in the Rosny area.”
The young offenders have been charged with aggravated robbery and have been detained to appear in court.
