A 14-year-old boy has been charged over a fatal stabbing on Hobart’s waterfront that left a young man dead and another wounded.
Police said the teenager was charged on Wednesday with attempted wounding, being unlawfully armed in a public place and two counts of assault.
He is due to appear in the Youth Justice Division of the Hobart Magistrates Court on November 18.
The charges relate to an alleged confrontation in the Morrison Street car park at Salamanca around 11:45pm on October 25.
A 20-year-old man died from his injuries, while a 23-year-old man was also wounded in the incident.

Police said three people have now been charged in connection with the alleged attack.
A 17-year-old boy has already appeared in court charged with murder, wounding and assault.
A 20-year-old man is expected to appear in court at a later date on a charge of assault.
