Fancy a career change away from chilly Tassie to an even chillier Antarctica?
Right now the Australian Antarctic Division are looking for 150 “resilient, adaptable, and flexible” expeditioners to make the move to the icy continent.
A wide range of positions need to be filled from mechanics to chefs, carpenters, communications operators, supply officers and aerodrome managers, with new employee salaries range from $70,000 to more than $100,000.

Leaving for the south in the 2023-24 Antarctic season, your new potential office could include one of three of Australia’s research stations – Davis, Mawson, and Casey – as well as Macquarie Island.
Applications close January 16.
