Police have uncovered a stash of illicit drugs worth over $150,000 after raiding a man’s home in Dowsings Point on Sunday afternoon.
The 31-year-old suspect was arrested on Sunday after being pulled over by police in Huonville while riding a motorbike following two separate evade incidents.
During the arrest, police say officers located a “substantial amount” of illegal drugs in the mans backpack, leading them to search his Glenorchy home.
During the search, officers found a larger stash of Methylamphetamine (Ice), Cocaine, MDMA, Cannabis and prescription drugs with an estimated street value of $150,700.
The man is now facing drug and traffic-related charges, as well as charges of Escape, Evade Police (Aggravated Circumstances) and Breach of Supreme Court Bail.
He was detained to appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court today.
