A 16-year-old boy is thought to have deliberately lit a large grass fire that burned through Hobart’s Northern suburbs yesterday afternoon.
Police arrested the teenager in connection with one fire that burned approximately 1 hectare of grass and fences in Lamprill Circle and Holloway Drive.

He has been granted conditional bail and is scheduled to appear in the Hobart Youth Justice court at a later date.
Authorities also battled multiple other fires in Bridgewater and Gagebrook yesterday, with investigations into these ongoing.
