A Bridgewater man allegedly found with more than 5 dozen cannabis plants and multiple firearms has been charged.
The 29-year-old was hit with charges for drug and firearm offences after a search of a northern suburbs property on Monday.
Detective Sergeant Boyd from Bellerive CIB said officers located over 70 cannabis plants and five firearms, including three that had been reported stolen from a property in Ouse in August.
“This is a positive result for the community,” Boyd said.
“Firearms are a hot commodity for criminals and when they are in untrained hands, we unfortunately see the damage their presence and use can have on others.”
The man was bailed to appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court in December.
