Tasmania is set for another warm start to the week as a lingering heatwave continues to move across the state.
After days of temperatures in the mid-30s, Monday is expected to see highs above 30 degrees across many regions.
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a low-intensity heatwave warning for the entire island.
Ouse, in the state’s Central Highlands, is forecast to reach 36 degrees today, with a chance of showers and potentially severe thunderstorms.
Hobart is expected to hit 32 degrees, with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, while Launceston will reach 33 degrees under mostly sunny skies.
Swansea and the east coast may also see a passing shower or thunderstorm, with temperatures hovering in the low 30s.
Authorities are urging residents to take precautions against the heat by staying hydrated, seeking shade and avoiding strenuous activity during the hottest parts of the day.
