Hundreds of homes in South Hobart, Dynnyrne and Tolmans Hill are without water this afternoon due to a burst water main.
TasWater say the incident, which happened shortly before noon, occurred on Waterworks Road and is currently impacting around 500 properties.

As a result of the damage, the water supply has been interrupted, with a team currently on the scene and working to repair the damage caused by the burst water main.
A temporary drinking water point has been set up in Fitzroy Place, Sandy Bay.
“Customers will need to bring their own containers and are welcome to fill as many as they like,” TasWater said.
Water services are expected to be fully restored by early evening.
