81% of Tasmanian Taylor Swift fans miss out on tickets to shows

Tasmanian swifties share their experiences with Pulse

Only 19% of Tasmanian Taylor Swift fans keen to see the singer live were able to get their hands on tickets today, a Pulse survey with over 1,300 swifties has revealed.

Keen Tassie swifties who got their hands on tickets tell Pulse they waited in the virtual queue for over 3 hours, spread across multiple devices, before they could finally purchase their tickets.

Over 4 million Australians attempted to purchase tickets to the Melbourne and Sydney shows today.

“I had been in the queue for 2.5 hours! I made three accounts with three presale codes, made new email addresses, and we got 4 tickets,” said 18-year-old Hobart swiftie Anahi Flanagan.

Unfortunately, most Tasmanians weren’t so lucky.

“Wasn’t worth my 5.5 hours, I waited for nothing! Literally nothing,” said one Pulse follower.

The general release of Taylor Swift’s much-anticipated Melbourne and Sydney shows, set to take place in February next year, is scheduled for Friday.

Despite today’s level of demand, Ticketek say there will still be tickets available for general release on Friday.
