The City of Hobart has decided to extend the e-scooter trial, which was meant to end this month, until March next year to allow for more data collection to help determine the city’s long-term approach to the scooters.

Over the last 12 months, e-scooters in Hobart have been used for over 530,000 individual trips, offsetting 296,000 kilometers of car travel and saving 52 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
