A 24-year-old Claremont man has been apprehended by Police in connection to an alleged firearms incident in Sandford on Monday night.
Detectives from Bellerive CIB carried out a search warrant at his address in Claremont on Wednesday morning, where the man was taken into custody.

Police say an illegal firearm, which the man allegedly used during a confrontation in Sandford on Monday evening, was discovered and confiscated during the search.
The man has been charged with aggravated assault and firearm offences and will appear before an out of hours court this evening.
Police added that no one was injured during the Sandford incident.
