A 33-year-old man from Clarendon Vale has picked up 59 charges for multiple offences following a raid on his property yesterday morning.
Police swarmed the Avro Court house at around 7:40AM on Friday where they found a “substantial amount” of stolen property, identified to be from burglaries of construction sites within Clarendon Vale.
The man was arrested following the search warrant and charged with a string of offences, including 16 charges of burglary, 15 for breach of interim family violence order and 14 for stealing.
He was also charged 5 times for both breach of bail and destroy property, 2 for stolen property and 1 each for receiving stolen property and trespass.
The man was detained to appear in court.
Detective Sergeant Josh Wood of Bellerive CIB said the take-down of this alleged serial thief is a timely reminder for all to do everything possible to avoid becoming a target for thieves.
“Police are seeing a trend of construction sites being targeted by thieves and we ask tradies to ensure their tools and materials are secured when they aren’t on-site”.
