‘Allow extra time’: Hobart Airport warns travellers after security screening fault

Monday night travellers are being advised to expect delays as they pass through Hobart Airport this evening due to a fault.

The airport advised of the “unforeseen operational fault” that was impacting the security screening area shortly before 7pm.

“We are currently reduced to operating one lane in screening … Please allow additional time to get through security,” the airport said on social media.

“Our team are working to fix the problem and manage queues so that everyone can get through screening safely.”

Travellers expected to be impacted include those boarding flights to Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane with Virgin and Jetstar.
