An alleged teenage-armed-robber is being hunted by Police today after robbing a store on Brent Street in Glenorchy last night.
The incident occurred around 8:15 pm, when a person entered the store and threatened a staff member with a knife.
The offender reportedly stole the cash register, which contained a sum of cash, as well as a Microsoft Surface Pro, iPad and printer, before fleeing the scene on foot.
Police say the individual then ran out of the store, across the car park and over Tolosa Street to meet up with another person.
It is believed that the pair then ran down Vieste Drive, where they discarded several of the stolen items.
The alleged perpetrator who entered the store is described as being between 15-16 years old, around 178cm tall and of normal build.
The suspect was wearing a black hoodie with the hood pulled up, a black mask covering his mouth and part of his nose.
Police say the employee was not physically harmed during the robbery.
“Police are actively investigating the incident and ask anyone who saw the offender or has information to come forward.”
