Blackmans Bay on high alert after string of home, car break-ins

Residents in Blackmans Bay are on high alert following a string of home and car break-ins over the weekend.

Police say ‘a number of houses and vehicles were unlawfully entered’ between 5-8 May.

A majority of the incidents are reported to have occurred in the area of Timbertop Drive, Honeysuckle Drive, Diamond Drive and Ash Drive.

The thief has so far managed to steal money, wallets, handbags, tools, keys, laptops and jewellery.

“Police are seeking information from members of the public who observed any suspicious behaviour or may have CCTV footage, in the areas over the weekend,” a spokesperson said.

“Information can be provided by calling Kingston CIB on 131444, or anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at crimestopperstas.com.au.”

One resident reported that a man (pictured above) attempted to enter his vehicle but was ‘interrupted by a neighbour who was leaving for work.’

‘He didn’t get anything. Remember to lock your car,’ he said.
