Police have charged four youths, all aged between 14 and 15, after an attempted armed carjacking in Hobart.
The young gang reportedly threatened their victim with a knife and attempted to steal his car in the early hours of Tuesday morning, before stealing a backpack and fleeing on foot.

The victim received minor injuries. All the youths will appear in the youth justice court.
