A Tasmanian teenager has been seriously injured after an explosion in a shed this morning.
Police and emergency services were called to the scene at a private property in Penguin on the state’s North-West coast shortly after 11am.

The teenager was given medical treatment at the scene and is being airlifted to hospital.
After investigation, TFS have determined the explosion was accidental and caused by mechanical equipment sparking and igniting a plastic fuel drum.
They say there are no suspicious circumstances.
