An unsuspecting Tasmanian council area has been crowned home to some of Tasmania’s highest earning teenagers!
Seven teens aged 15-19 from the Brighton area, which includes Bridgewater, Gagebrook and Old Beach, reported earning at least $2000 a week, or six-figures of income in the last census.

At more than double the country’s $42,000 median yearly pay, experts say their earnings could be down to a trade apprenticeship or online cryptocurrency investments.
Several areas of the Brighton municipality, including Bridgewater and Gagebrook, have a reputation for their low social class and are noted as a disadvantaged area.
