Drivers will be directed onto a new temporary section of Black Snake Road closer to the Brooker Highway to allow for the construction of a new section of the Lyell Highway.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane at times and some lower speed limits will also apply.

The temporary road will be in place until traffic is then shifted onto the new alignment slightly further to the west later this year.

Access to Black Snake Road will be maintained at all times and the on and off ramps will still be operational.

RoadsTas ask motorists to allow for extra travel time and to obey all signage and instructions from traffic controllers.
