A Burnie family have been left “terrified and traumatised” after a parked van rolled down a hill, through a fence and into their home this week.
The family say they were watching TV when the van crashed into their lounge room wall, “one foot away” from where they were sitting.

In a statement to Pulse, Police confirmed officers were called to the crash in Upper Burnie shortly after 5pm on Tuesday evening.
Pulse understands the owner of the van forgot to apply the handbrake, causing it to roll and crash into the house at speed.
Images from the scene show a section of the fence destroyed, with significant structural damage also visible on the exterior of the home and deck.
The van was also damaged in the crash.
