A bushfire warning has been issued for a Hobart suburb this evening as firefighters battle a blaze on Mount Rumney.
People in Rokeby and Clarendon Vale areas are being told to ‘watch and act’ as crews work to control the blaze.

“There is no immediate threat. The fire is travelling towards Mount Rumney,” the Tasmania Fire Service said.
“Conditions are expected to be changeable.”
The fire comes as extreme weather conditions are forecast, with the south of the state currently under a Total Fire Ban until 2am tomorrow.
