A car has burst into flames while parked next to a fuel pump at a service station in Tasmania’s north-west tonight.
BP on Main Street in Ulverstone is currently closed while authorities work to control the blaze, which began around 11pm on Saturday.
Flames and clouds of white smoke can be seen billowing from the front of the car.
Police say the vehicle is “fully alight” and officers on the scene are diverting motorists away from the area.

It is not yet known how the fire started.
12am, Sunday 26 November: The fire ‘completely destroyed’ the vehicle but no building or infrastructure, Police say.
Main Street has since reopened, while the blaze has been deemed as not suspicious.
