Car collides with motorbike outside Deloraine in Tasmania’s Meander Valley

UPDATE – 2:19pm: Police say the crash is now clear.

EARLIER: Emergency services are on the scene of a collision involving a car and a motorcycle on Meander Valley Road in Deloraine.

The incident has resulted in the road being blocked, causing significant traffic congestion.

Police say traffic on the eastern side of the bridge near the crash site is heavily backed up, extending to Deloraine.

Authorities are advising motorists to avoid the area and seek alternative routes where possible.

There have been no reports of life-threatening injuries from the accident.
