“It is a great honour for my book to be recognised by the leaders and judges in the culinary literature world,” Van Gerwen said as he accepted the award in Saudi Arabia.

The book describes Van Gerwen’s lifelong passion and the decades he dedicated to uncovering the ancient secrets of cacao and learning the craft of making great chocolate.
